Royal Crescent Publishing is looking for a talented Chief Reporter to join its flagship title, Peer-to-Peer Finance News.

Peer-to-Peer Finance News is a print and online publication aimed at the UK’s fast-growing peer-to-peer finance industry and it has expanded quickly since its recent launch.

Aimed at retail investors as well as the industry itself, every headline must be eye-catching and there’s no room for boring jargon.

You will have daily business reporting experience, preferably on a newspaper. You will have strong news judgement and the ability to work accurately at speed. You will be able to source exclusive news and feel comfortable delving through stock exchange announcements or company financials.

The company is based in WeWork in Paddington, where you will be surrounded by other young, dynamic start-ups and can enjoy weekly happy hours and regular networking events.

No weekend shifts, no night shifts, no office politics. The ideal candidate will want to contribute creative ideas to help take the brand to the next level and be an integral part of its development.

This role is for a Chief Reporter but a promotion would be relatively swift if the candidate performs well.

Essential requirements:

  • Real-time business reporting experience
  • Solid financial understanding, although knowledge of P2P is not essential
  • Ability to generate own news stories
  • Ability to write quickly and accurately
