About EE:

EE, part of BT Group, is the largest and most advanced mobile communications company in the UK, delivering mobile and fixed communications services to consumers.

EE runs the UK's biggest and fastest mobile network, having pioneered the UK's first superfast 4G mobile service in October 2012, and was the first European operator to surpass 14 million 4G customers in December 2015. EE has more than 550 shops across the UK. EE's 4G coverage today reaches more than three quarters of the UK geography. EE plans to extend 4G to 95% geographic coverage by 2020.

About the role:

We’re looking for a senior PR and media relations manager, to head up EE’s media team for nine months maternity cover.

The EE Press Office works alongside the wider BT Group Press Office and with the EE line of business. Its role is to ensure that EE, its corporate reputation and its products and plans are promoted and protected in the most effective way, through the media, online and other third parties and influencers.

The aim is to ensure corporate stakeholders, consumers and businesses love, engage with, and ultimately buy and recommend our company, products and services.

This role is a critical part of the BT Press Office, overseeing all aspects of EE’s Corporate Communications – including financial comms and business media – and will need to work closely with the EE CEO and CFO, as well as well as the rest of the board and senior management.

It will also work closely with the EE PR, internal and public affairs teams and will be responsible for ensuring clear communication and planning between BT Group Press Office and the EE team.

The role will oversee a Corporate agency and will be required to develop and maintain the ongoing Corporate Communications program for EE as well as influence the quarterly Financial Communications calendar alongside EE and BT’s IR teams.

The final part of the role will require close involvement with strategy, planning, and execution for the Communications surrounding EE’s leadership role within the mobile industry and its key role in BT, following acquisition in 2016.
