The Company:

In its relatively short operating history IFLScience has become the leading destination for engaging and thought-provoking science content, with 90 million unique monthly visitors and 300 million page views. Spawning from a Facebook page in Spring 2012, “I F*cking Love Science” now has over 25 million Facebook likes and is a top-5 for Facebook’s Edge Rank which measures engagement and reach. IFLScience.com was founded in Midland, Ontario in Canada but has recently relocated to London UK.

We're looking for an experienced science writer, who will focus on medical and health subjects.

This doesn't mean that's all you'll be writing about, not by a long shot. One of the great things about IFLScience is that one day you can be writing about drug interactions, and the next day it can be outer space. However, we are looking for someone who has the experience and expertise necessary to cover complex health studies, and explain them to a general audience.

This role is full time, and will be based in our Covent Garden office. Remote applicants cannot be considered for this position.

Qualifications:

  • Health sciences/biomedical sciences degree
  • Some form of journalism experience, the more the better.
  • Passionate about science communication

To apply, please send a cover letter, CV and two writing samples by completing the application form below.

Applications close 31 March.
