At Egmont we are passionate about children’s publishing and as the leading publisher for children in the UK, we work with a huge number of exciting brands ranging from Disney Princess to Star Wars Lego.

We’re now looking for an Editorial Controller to join our new team, who will work across a large number of children’s licensed magazines, preparing pages for the UK market.

To succeed you will need great copy-editing and proof-reading skills, together with a good knowledge of publishing packages and file formats. With a track record of working effectively and efficiently and keeping to schedules, you take pride in working accurately and systematically. You’re also adept at working in a team to meet stretching targets.

You will be expected to have experience of the licensed magazine process and be able to demonstrate an understanding of children’s magazines and the current UK children’s magazine market. You’ll also need enthusiasm, whilst experience of working smoothly with external contributors would be an advantage, and is a must.

Whilst work experience in the children’s magazines sector will be an advantage, it is essential that you have previously worked in an editorial, or possibly production, role in publishing.
