Junior Designer - Toxic Magazine
Job Type
Full Time

Toxic Magazine, Britain’s leading children’s lifestyle magazine requires an outstanding Junior Designer.

We’re looking for someone with the talent, spirit and ambition - as well as good humour - to become a world-class designer. You don’t have to be there yet, but you’ll have a willingness to learn, be brimming with ideas and have a desire to be part of an ever-evolving magazine that looks different every issue.

You will be turning high-concept ideas into heavily worked up and exciting pages that really speak to boys aged 7-12. You should be influenced by the entire magazine market, not just the children’s sector. So while knowledge of the current children’s market is a bonus, we’d prefer someone who can blow us away with pages that wouldn’t look out of place in Empire, SFX or any other major lifestyle title.

It goes without saying that Adobe Creative Suite skills are absolutely essential. Whilst you will be organised, efficient and an excellent communicator with a keen eye for detail.

This is a golden opportunity to work with a superb creative team crafting excellent products for the children’s market. As part of this role, you will also be expected to pitch in on other Egmont titles when the need arises, as well as creative pitches for new magazines.

The ideal candidate will be fresh from completing their degree or will be into their first job.

If you would like to join the exciting world of children’s publishing at Egmont, please download and complete an Application Form - from the 'Supporting documents' section below - and send it together with your CV, covering letter and samples of your best work by completing the application form below.
