Insight Editor – Content Strategist, Senior Editor
Insight Editor to set and lead the content strategy for a new premium information service
We are looking for an experienced senior editor to set and lead the content strategy for a new data led global information service. With a minimum of 5 years editorial experience, you will be highly customer focused and have a proven ability to work with customer data and user behaviour to develop targeted content. And with a focus on creating deep and detailed analysis covering vertical categories, you will be used to working with data and will have a clear understanding of data journalism.
Senior editor with a key strategic leadership role
You will bring an exceptional combination of editorial, product development and commercial skills to take on a key strategic leadership role to develop a new service and deliver on its editorial authority and visibility. Holding both day-to-day and strategic responsibilities for content and managing a small team of Data Journalists, you will:
- develop and implement a clear content roadmap
- review, identify and use current content from within the business as well as develop and agree themes and ideas for new content
- identify key insights and perspectives and write compelling narratives
- manage data feeds and third-party partnerships
- identify trends and statistics to use in authoritative and high value content
- provide expert and market input into continued development of the service.
Technically savvy, a science background and a clear understanding of data journalism
As Insight Editor, you will work closely with the IT and digital marketing teams as well as product development team to help create and deliver a successful service. You will also need to have familiarity with content management systems and have an understanding of tagging of content. A strong background in science would a great advantage.
