Lansons, Senior Account Executive
We’re looking for great consultants at senior account executive level to work within our truly integrated agency structure.
We deliver holistic consultancy to clients across all sectors, and we've worked on some of the most significant recent change and crisis management briefs.
We have a particularly deep understanding of the financial services industry and experience in this sector will be an advantage.
Strong consultancy skills are essential but equally important is a genuine interest in businesses and what makes them tick.
We like people with enquiring minds who have an entrepreneurial approach and can also work supportively within teams advising clients and reaching out to their stakeholders, whether that’s the media, the political community, consumer groups, shareholders and, of course, customers too.
More about the role
While we are actively looking for consultants at senior account executive level, we are also interested to hear from talented account managers. Lansons’ flexible and bespoke structure means we’re more interested in finding the right person for Lansons than ‘filling a role’.
We create bespoke teams for our clients, but we also create bespoke client portfolios for our people. Your client portfolio will be tailored to your experience and your ambition, drawn from the whole range of companies we advise. Take a look at our website and see what inspires you!
For one of our roles, experience of working within the asset management industry would be particularly helpful.
Lansons has a no-silos ‘one team’ agency approach which means unrivalled opportunity for involvement across all areas of our consultancy offering. Working as part of integrated teams, you’ll develop insight and expertise in all Lansons’ communications specialisms.
You will be working at the centre of client teams driving the client programme at delivery level and being a central point of contact for the client.
Client responsibility will range from being the central player on a smaller account, to being the hub of a larger multi-discipline, multi-consultant account.
You’ll get an insight into the strategic planning of client programmes and campaigns, and will play a key role in ideas generation and creativity.
We’ll expect you to manage and, more importantly, develop more junior team members.
There is masses of opportunity to get involved in all aspects of life at Lansons from our networking events, our international partner programme, our busy social life and all the things we do for charity and the local community.
What we're looking for from you
- All consuming curiosity about your clients, their industries and business in general
- Entrepreneurial approach to make the most of Lansons’ flexible opportunities
- Evidence of holistic consultancy thinking and approach
- Fantastic media contacts and flair for media relationships
- Initiative and ownership
- Problem solving abilities
- Proven client relationship skills
- Powerful, persuasive writing
- Strong social media and digital knowledge and awareness
- Excellent quality control
We have a fabulous track record of developing graduate talent from within and to complement this we're currently looking for people with a good agency track record who can add value at senior account executive level.
Our people are the heart of our agency and we aim to be a special place to work. We are a genuine partnership with over a third of our people owning the business. Over a third of people at account director level and above started at Lansons’ most junior level including five board directors.
What makes us different
We have a team ethic and a thriving and lively social scene - from the Friday Bar, our famous staff parties, art competitions and visiting fish and chip vans, to company-wide karaoke challenges.
Support for charity forms an important part of social activity and one of our core principles is to be a good corporate citizen in all our communities, something staff are enormously proud of.
On top of all the fund raising activity, since inception Lansons has always donated 1% of profits to charity. We also have an award winning pro bono partnership with cutting edge theatre company High Tide which has been heralded as an example of how business can support the arts.
We are currently thrilled to feature at Number 26 in the UK’s 50 Best Medium Workplaces (Great Places to Work Institute) and to feature in the top 50 an amazing thirteen years in a row. We’re also delighted to have a bronze medal from PR Week’s Best Places to Work.
