Full Time

Stylist is looking for a new Beauty Director to head up its award-winning beauty editorial.

An exceptional opportunity for the right individual, you will be responsible for overseeing every element of Stylist’s beauty editorial, ensuring Stylist remains relevant, agenda-setting and talked about across all its platforms.

Creativity and passion is absolutely key. As is the ability to produce strong, distinctive shoots, negotiate exclusives, confidently manage a team, work quickly under pressure (but still thrive!) and to instinctively know what will resonate with the Stylist reader. An individual who is a talented wordsmith with a strong editorial voice is preferred but not a deal-breaker.

While your core skill will be conceptualising, producing and commissioning surprising and innovative beauty content, we are keen to stress this is a multi-faceted role and the right person will have a proven track record of being able to think commercially, strategically and digitally. Liaising on revenue strategies and brand partnerships will not be new territory for you.

So who are you? You might have managed a beauty desk on a national newspaper or magazine, or headed up the beauty content strategy at a lifestyle brand or online platform.

Possibly you will be a mixture of both. But you will definitely be an exceptional leader and orator who will be able to communicate Stylist’s brand values and beauty ethos to any audience.

Lastly, networking is an essential part of this role and we are looking for someone who will be an enthusiastic, personable and highly regarded brand ambassador. Someone bubbling with enthusiasm for the Stylist brand and the endless potential it has within the beauty sector - both commercially and creatively.

Sound like you? We look forward to hearing from you.
