An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC), right at the heart of government.

We are looking for a Writer, who will be responsible for drafting, editing and writing articles and blogs for media outlets and digital channels.

The postholder will provide advice and support to all parts of external communications on language, tone, style and consistency ensuring all written material has a consistent high standard and uses the same up to date messaging across the board.

HMRC has one of the largest and busiest press offices in government, and we are recognised as running one of the top communications operations in Whitehall.

Whether we’re promoting new policies, explaining our work to tackle tax avoidance and evasion or publicising our latest successes against aggressive tax avoidance schemes, the press office is HMRC’s reputational front-line.

If you are interested in the post, please complete an application form by clicking 'Apply' now.

Closing date is 15 August 2017.

Interviews will take place early September 2017.
