Slimming World Magazine, Art Department Assistant

With a combined print and digital circulation of 645,719 making it the 4th largest actively purchased magazine in the UK, it was named Customer Magazine of the Year for the second time at the 2016 Professional Publishers Association Awards.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and impeccably organised assistant to support our incredibly busy art team on Slimming World magazine.
You’ll be the first point of contact for art department general enquiries and provide essential day-to-day assistance across several areas. You’ll act as bookings assistant for photographic shoots – checking availability, booking crews and locations, and also provide assistance on shoot days.
You’ll be involved in image research and be responsible for image library admin, checking-in and filing digital images and managing invoices and receipts etc.
You’ll have the opportunity to contribute visual ideas for the magazine alongside being responsible for day-to-day art department admin. You will help the department by styling-up and flowing copy into templates, and by providing some basic Photoshop work. You will provide appropriate cover in the department when team members are out of the office.
