KMTV, Video Journalist
KMTV is Kent’s new local television channel, the 30th to launch as part a national network which now covers most of the UK.
A joint venture between the University of Kent and KM Media Group, Kent’s leading multimedia company, it is based in state of the art studios at the University’s award-winning Centre for Journalism in Chatham Maritime.
KMTV has been broadcasting on Freeview 7 and Virgin Media 159 across Kent and beyond since 10 July 2017. There’s live local news, sport and feature content created every day by a talented and versatile team, with specialist programmes helping celebrate what’s going on in a vibrant county with a rich history.
To help the channel cement a growing audience and reputation for great content, KMTV now needs to appoint a Video Journalist who really cares about local news, business, sport and entertainment.
You’ll have a background in journalism with real experience in a television newsroom and a complete range of multimedia skills. You’ll receive a generous salary with the option to join a company pension scheme with a generous employer contribution.
There are future opportunities for successful candidates to create new programmes and contribute across the channel’s already diverse schedule.
