Lloyd’s List, the world’s oldest business publication, is forging ahead with real-time maritime trade and finance coverage online, on mobile platforms and in print each day. It needs a talented journalist to lift the lid on maritime trade and cover key markets and news beats.
The successful candidate will write off-diary news and analysis covering all aspects of the shipping markets under constant deadline pressure. The role requires someone who can quickly develop quality contacts and knows how to ask the right people the right questions. They will be able to analyse complex reports, understand the global implications of local developments and turn this knowledge into market leading news stories. We are looking for someone who is analytical, quick thinking, accurate and highly numerate.
Candidates will also be expected to contribute to longer features and attend industry events, conferences, press conferences as required.
Business journalism experience preferred however strong graduates with an interest in global trade and finance will be considered.
The candidate should be able to show examples of work that highlights superior reporting of breaking news stories.
