Corporate Communications Manager
This FTSE100 company manages services on behalf of the public and private sector clients and is well-known for the services they provide on behalf of local authorities and government departments. The communications team is looking for a Senior Communications Manager with experience of running a busy press office, managing reputational issues, and planning pro-active campaigns to raise the profile of their services.
Working closely with two other Senior Communications Managers and managing a small team of bright Press Officers, you’ll be the first point of contact for the sector teams and lead on the strategy and delivery of media campaigns aimed at local, regional and national press.
This role will see you working on a mix of creative and demanding accounts, and occasionally collaborating with challenging public sector stakeholders, so gravitas and diplomacy will absolutely need to be part of your everyday arsenal.
You’ll be a seasoned PR practitioner; quick to grasp complex subjects and confident when it comes to managing a crisis. You’ll ideally have earned your PR stripes through working in a fast-paced agency and will be keen to work in an environment where no two days are the same. An understanding of the inner-workings of public sector or government bodies would be a definite advantage.
