Unicef ensures more of the world’s children are vaccinated, educated and protected than any other organisation. We have done more to influence laws and policies to help protect children than anyone else. We get things done. And we’re not going to stop until the world is a safe place for all our children.

In this role, you will deliver Unicef UK’s communications and media work for public campaigning, public fundraising and public facing corporate partner focused communications work.

You will manage relationships across UK media and contribute to internal strategic thinking about how to maximise our campaigns, fundraising and corporate partner communications.

You will develop and manage relationships with key high-profile media outlets and key private sector/donor partners, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to a proactive and ambitious strategy to promote Unicef UK’s work to key media audiences.

To succeed in this role, you will have experience of developing, implementing and evaluating high-profile media strategies, and securing effective coverage within key mass media titles.

You will be an exceptional communicator, able to develop highly productive working relationships with consumer journalists, key internal stakeholders and external partners.

You will have experience of working in, or dealing with, the voluntary sector on development issues. You should have a strong knowledge of the UK media, humanitarian issues and children’s rights.

The successful candidate will be required to apply for a Basic Disclosure from Disclosure Scotland. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working with us. This will depend on the nature of the role and the circumstances of your offences.

We only accept online applications as this saves us money, making more funds available for us to help ensure children’s rights. CVs will not be accepted.

If you do not hear from us within 14 days of the closing date, please assume your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion. Please note that we only provide feedback to shortlisted candidates.
