Exceptional PR & Communications Officer required for a 12 month fixed term contract.   Dynamic creative industry body.  Media relations, social media & creative content. c.£20-25k + benefits.

This role will work for a dynamic creative industry body which helps us interact with various media content.  They have very big plans over the next 12 months and are looking for additional support in the communications team. 

Working in their central London office, this varied role will support Head of Communications and advise senior management while delivering a range of exciting projects.  Creative content will include marketing materials, podcasts & blog planning, social media & website collateral & press releases.  Press office work will include reactive media inquiries as well as proactive campaigns; raising awareness for their apps, industry insights and thought leadership.  Up and coming projects will also be targeting their social channels and influencer network too.

Responsibilities include:

  • Proactive & reactive press office & media relations
  • Creative content production: crafting press releases to targeted media; drafting in-house newsletters and articles
  • Project management to produce marketing materials
  • Support the editorial planning, scheduling and production of the podcast
  • Social media monitoring and engaging with users on social media sites such as Twitter
  • Organising events including press conferences, and press tours

Ideal candidates will be bright, engaging, assured and pro-active with proven press office and content creation experience gained in a reputable agency or in-house.    Good social media and brand PR experience would be valuable.  You will need to be confident when dealing with senior stakeholders and national media enquiries, as well as being comfortable co-ordinating projects from start to finish including co-ordinating external PR agencies.  Strong written skills for a variety of platforms and audiences is highly desirable.   If you feel you have the suitable experience and skill to complete the role, please submit your CV for consideration.
