From developments in AI to the latest in Neanderthal research, candidates must be confident in writing and editing stories on a wide range of topics.
Suitable candidates will have a strong track record in spotting trends, writing compelling copy and supporting the Science and Technology Editor. They will have an understanding of digital 24-hour news and the processes and pressures that come with operating in this environment.
Applicants must be able to find and break exclusive stories of national and global interest, as well as turn their hand to creative features for this office-based role.
Prior experience in online publishing is essential, as is an NCTJ qualification and a broad knowledge of science and technology matters.
